My name is Dan, but please call me Truth. There are several reasons behind the name Truth, one of which is the calling out in me that which is needed...truth. For many years of my life, I walked the hypocritcal walk of a Christian on the outside, but a liar on the inside. I deceived many people and hurt those I loved the most.

Before September 2005, I would not even allow Halo or any other first person shooter in my house, let alone allow my kids to play. My oldest son (seen in pic) had been going to a friends house and played it. He asked my permission to continue playing and I allowed him to play based on his being able to discern right from wrong and that it was not in my house. That summer was a very traumatic time in my life and I was having to face some serious issues in my life related to my life as a Christian, my family and everything that God wanted in my life. In September there was a significant change in my daily life and I needed something to fill the void. Halo became the thing that filled that void. Initially, I allowed it to consume me and take much more of my time than anything should, it was only through some Godly counsel in my church and through some outside ministries that I realized Halo could not fill the void, only the love of Christ could.

I am honored by SBG to be selected as PoTM. I am more honored to serve in the role as Clan Chaplin and have the opportunity to minister to any who have need. I thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for having mercy and establishing me in His grace.

I have walked roads I hope none of ever have to walk. But, out of those trials and temptations, He has placed me in a position to minister to this members of this clan and the gaming community in general. I can understand many of the issues men and women face. I know the difficulties of addiction and the liberty of grace.

I am not perfect, far from it, but I am blessed and strive to focus on what He needs me to do while I am here on this Earth. If you need prayer or support, I will do what the Holy Spirit enables me to do to help you.

The picture is from my oldest son's BAM (Becoming A Man) party this past summer. He turned 18 and the men in his life gathered to express thoughts of joy, encouragement, discipline, hope, faith and love. This picture exemplifies my calling in life, to call out the greatness in people and to see others as God sees them.

I am here to let you know that God loves you and He sent His Son Jesus to die for you. You might not even believe there is a God, but in my life He is real and my relationship with Him is incredible. I am not about religion, I am about relationship!
